Friendly fires is the self titled album  by Friendly Fires. First released in September 2008, with all tracks produced by the band members themselves except for "Jump in the Pool" .  Ever since its slow start the album has now spread like wildfire to such a degree that in has been re-released on August 31,2009.

Tracks From this album have been featured in such high profile events like the trailer for the upcoming Playstation 3 Game "Gran Turismo 5", The single "White Diamonds" has been featured in the US television series "Gossip Girl", and "Jump in the Pool" is the theme tune to BBC's 2009/2010 football season.

With this kind of pedigree on can set very high expectations on the album, which will undoubtedly be met. The elegant distict vocals that just ooze rock are perfectly balanced with the electronic sounds that enhance the melodies instead of overloading them.  This well rounded upbeat album has really set the bar high, even for the band itself.
